The Mezzanine is orientated to create a room with a view and a fantastic space to chill… The Wine Room provides that quieter space to dine in comfort. The mix of natural stone, timber and contemporary materials creates spaces with real character and interest.

Brimstone Hotel comprises 16 stunning suites ranging in size from 45 m2 to 75 m2. The project incorporates the very latest in hotel design with exciting bathing experiences, in room spa treatments, private residents’ lounge, dedicated concierge, cutting edge technology, private parking and sustainable energy saving measures throughout.

We were delighted that the project was shortlisted in the New Build category of the 2013 European Hotel Design Awards. It was also a finalist in 4 categories at the recent Northern Design Awards and won the Best Eco / Sustainability Build 2013 Award.

Ramblers Bar and The Candleroom form part of this stunning extension to the 4* Inn on the Lake which sits on the shore of Ulswater. The Candleroom has a striking glass fronted elevation to take advantage of superb views over the fells and features local natural materials in combination with an eclectic mix of modern and traditional furnishings internally to create this charming, bright and spacious venue. Ramblers Bar has a complimentary palette of materials and is designed to create a more intimate space for walkers to relax.

The former ‘Hamilton Hall’ student halls of residence was extensively remodelled internally whilst retaining the façade and many of the listed features. The complex project sensitively restored some of the key elements of this iconic building – arguably the most photographed building in golf sitting at the end of the 18th Green of the famous Old Course.

The practice was responsible for the £20m refurbishment of this 346 bed Hotel adjacent to Victoria Station. Through a phased 18 month programme of refurbishment, restoration and restructuring the project has returned what was London’s first great railway hotel to its former glory. The hotel remained open throughout the works with all 20 phases finishing on programme and on budget.

Whilst remaining sensitive to the building’s heritage the result is an inspirational, contemporary, high-service hotel themed around the indulgence of luxury travel.

Greens truly is the ‘First Hotel in Scotland’ and has been completely transformed through the £1m investment. The public spaces have been remodeled and brought to life with a stylish contemporary palette of materials, fabrics, furniture and colours.

UJP were responsible for design of the 36 bedroom Colquhoun House wing and the refurbishment of the reception, Whisky Bar, Library and other public areas at this 5* resort on the shores of Loch Lomond. This listed building lies within Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The practice was involved in consultation with various bodies including Scottish Natural Heritage, The Historic Garden Society, Historic Scotland and the National Park Authority.
